What makes a good web site? A good web site will load quickly, before your potential customer has time to get bored and click on to the next site. It will have a style which reflects your company image and which is visually attractive to your particular customer base. It will be easy for the user to navigate, making it possible for them to find the information they require within two or three clicks of the mouse It will be easy for the Search engines to find, and once found should be ranked on the first few pages for the most commonly used search phrases. Most important of all once the customer has arrived it should sell for you, at the end of the day it doesn't matter how flashy it looks, if it doesn't persuade the customer to pick up the phone or write that email it's not doing its job. How do we achieve this? - By working with you, the client. After initial discussions and agreeing a price you receive a private web site address where you can view the work as it progresses, from initial decisions on layout and colour scheme to the final tweeking and perfecting. You have the opportunity to offer your input at each important stage in the site's development. How long will it take? A simple site such as this one can be up and running within seven days How much will it cost? A site such as this, 4 pages, around 2,000 words supplied by you as a word processor file, simple background, minimal graphics and no animation could cost as little as £99 to design. If you wanted Guestlist to host the site for a year and update it with price and product changes etc. plus a .co.uk domain name it would cost around £60 a year. Add it all together and it's about the price of a relatively small ad. in your local paper for one week. At these prices can you afford not to be on the web.
